Description
The session will be an interactive panel discussion to explore the ethical and practical considerations related to: 1) Should information about donation be made routinely available to people accessing MAID? If yes, then how, timing, by who? e.g. on website, during consultation with MAID practitioner. 2) What interventions should be facilitated ahead of death (ante-mortem interventions), including options of sedation at home, sedation with intubation and then donor investigations and ante-mortem interventions? 3) Should directed donation of organs be permitted?
