Katharina received her medical degree from the Medical University of Vienna. She was trained in Immunology and completed her PhD at the Institute of Immunology at the Medical University of Vienna. Since joinig the Division of Nephrology and Dialysis at the same instutution, her research has focused on transplant immunology, especially antibody-mediated kidney transplant rejection and the immunological monitoring of kidney transplant recipients.
