Stefan G. Tullius, MD, PhD is the Joseph E. Murray, MD Chair in Transplant Surgery, Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School, and Director of the Transplant Surgery Research Laboratory at Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Boston. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Transplantation journals (Transplantation and Transplantation-Direct). Dr. Tullius has served on the boards of several international transplant societies, was Vice President and Sr. Treasurer of The Transplantation Society (TTS), Council member of ESOT, and Chair of several AST committees. He is also currently Vice President of the International Society of Uterus Transplantation. In addition to his clinical role as Program Director of Transplant Surgery, he leads a productive NIH-funded research laboratory and lists > 360 PubMed scientific manuscripts as well as several book chapters. Dr. Tullius’ work has been recognized with the TTS Award for Outstanding Achievement in Transplantation Science and the Excellence in Transplantation Award by the National Kidney Foundation. He was an Einstein Fellow at the Charité in Berlin, is a member of the American Surgical Association, an honorary member of the French Academy of Medicine, and holds an honorary doctorate from Gothenburg University.
