  Henry Pleass is a multi organ transplant surgeon and Professor of Surgery at Westmead Hospital, University of Sydney. He is the surgical head of the kidney and Pancreas programs at Westmead and a VMO Liver transplant surgeon at RPA Hospital in Sydney. His research interests include machine perfusion, protection from ischaemic reperfusion injury and pancreas retrieval and preservation. He has numerous leadership roles, both within the University of Sydney and nationally within the transplant sector and has over 180 peer reviewed publications to date. He is passionate about training the next generation of surgeons, to further improve outcomes through technique and technology.
