
Beyond associations: Causal methods to address sex/gender inequities in transplant care

Dr Jessica Harding is an accomplished epidemiologist and health services researcher specializing in diabetes, kidney disease, and transplant outcomes. She is an Associate Professor at Emory University and the Co-Director of the Emory Health Services Research Center with and has published more than 100 papers. She is recognized for leadership in multi-disciplinary research, advancing health equity, and service innovation at the intersection of epidemiology, social determinants of health, and clinical outcomes. In the last 5 years, much of her research has been dedicated to describing and understanding sex-based inequities in access to kidney transplantation, several findings of which which have been published in top kidney journals such as the American Journal of Kidney Disease and the Clinical Journal of the American Society of Neprhology. She contributes to the broader kidney community as the Associate Editor of multiple kidney and diabetes journals, and serves on the Policy and Advocacy Committee for the American Society of Nephrology.
