Siriorn Watcharananan, MD, FIDSA

Dr. Siriorn Watcharananan is an Infectious Disease specialist and Associate Professor of Medicine at Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand. She completed residency training in Internal Medicine and fellowship training in Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology in the United States, including serving as Chief Fellow at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Her clinical and research work focuses on transplant infectious diseases, with particular expertise in tropical and locally endemic infections affecting transplant recipients in Southeast Asia. Her clinical experience includes managing transplant infections in patients from Thailand and neighboring countries, including Myanmar, Cambodia, and Laos, providing a regional perspective on infectious risks and outcomes. Dr. Watcharananan established Thailand’s national program in Transplant Infectious Diseases. She also serves as a Council Member of the Transplant Infectious Diseases section of The Transplantation Society, contributing to global collaboration, education, and research in the field of transplant infectious diseases.
