Dr Bramstedt is a bioethicist with over 20 years' experience in transplant ethics and research ethics. Formerly on staff at The Cleveland Clinic, she is now the Global Head of Bioethics at Roche and holds the title of Adjunct Professor at Queensland University of Technology School of Medicine. She is the author of 125+ peer-reviewed papers and several book chapters, as well as a book focused on transplant ethics titled, The Organ Donor Experience: Good Samaritans and the Meaning of Altruism (Bloomsbury Publishing, 2011.) Her website, www.TransplantEthics.com, is a resource for patients, families, and clinical teams. She helped co-create the smartphone app, Donor, with Johns Hopkins University.
