Carl Grabitz (DE)

I am a clinician scientist, pediatric nephrologist and fellow in transplantation medicine at Hannover Medical School, Germany. My research focuses on cardiovascular risk and accelerated vascular ageing in young people with chronic kidney disease and following organ transplantation. I oversee the operational management of SOPHOCLES, a multicentre randomised trial investigating optimal blood pressure targets after paediatric kidney transplantation. I am a member of the European Society for Paediatric Nephrology’s Transplantation Working Group and the International Pediatric Transplant Association’s Ethics Committee.
