Dr Steve Ivulich is the lead pharmacist for the respiratory services at the Alfred Hospital, Melbourne, Australia. He oversees the respiratory clinical pharmacy services and has been working in this role for the previous 20 years. Steve’s primary area of practice is lung transplant pharmacy, with a focus on the inpatient and ambulatory care of lung transplant recipients. His area of expertise is transplant immunosuppression and completed a PhD evaluating the rejection and survival outcomes for maintenance immunosuppression after lung transplant. He has maintained an interest in research focusing on the clinical outcomes of immunosuppression after lung transplant, as well as the long-term management of complications from immunosuppression after lung transplant. Steve was recently awarded the Jeff Gittus Transplant Fellowship to improve medication adherence after lung transplant with a structured pharmacy program and targeted interventions.
